Volunteer at the Valley Earth Day Cleanup on April 21

Spring is coming which means the 2018 Menomonee Valley Earth Day Cleanup is right around the corner! MVP partners with Milwaukee Riverkeeper annually on this event which brings out nearly 4,000 amazing volunteers across the Milwaukee River Basin to pick up trash, get outdoors, and help to achieve swimmable, fishable rivers.

Milwaukee Riverkeeper provides the gloves, trash bags, and FREE T-SHIRTS. YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up the interesting and sometimes bizarre trash that finds its way into our beautiful Valley.

Come on your own or coordinate a team of friends, family and colleagues.

Dress to get messy!

When: Saturday, April 21, 9am-noon, check-in 8:30am-9am

Where: Menomonee Valley Community Park, 3700 W Milwaukee Rd

Don’t forget the Rock the Green FREE Earth Day Celebration for volunteers! This takes place after the cleanup from 12-2pm in Picnic Area 8 in Estabrook Park. There will be a live concert, local food vendors, and eco-booths to teach you and yours about eco-friendly practices.

Thank you for volunteering on Earth Day to keep the Valley beautiful! It’s amazing how welcoming the Valley is after this event – and it’s a great beginning of the spring season. You really make a difference for the neighborhood!
